The ancient hamlet of Borno shows traces of the Cooper Age, Roman Age, Fifteen century and following eras. Churches and kiosks hold a priceceless value with renowned paintings such as the sixteen century fresco by Callisto Piazza near S. Antonio Oratory, or the typical wooden walkways, the suggestive courtyards and the historic fountains such as the one located in the magnificent Giovanni Paolo II square, built in the seventeenth century, octagonal and in Simona stone.
Borno is located in the middle of “Altopiano del Sole” with many destinations reachable either walking slowly or running, with mountain bikes or on horse. There is nothing better than staying in Rivadossi House which promises the absolute serenity and a generous breakfast to tackle a phisical challenging day.
Not to forget winter season which offeres skiers of all levels, or who prefers snowboarding, the opportunity to utilise the ski area “Monte Altissimo” (mountain height meters 1.800) with 20 km of sky slopes in the woods, a snowpark, educational camp and the most modern skilifts with planned snowing systems.
